Animal Attraction

Wes' Valentine's Day surprise has turned into a nightmare. Grounded at an airport by a freak snowstorm, he and his wife will never make their cruise. To make matters even worse, the Murphy's Law Fairy has stranded them with thousands of other travelers. A romantic holiday atmosphere this is assuredly not!

Brand, a feline shifter, is desperate. Sexual arousal is heavy in the airport and his flight has been cancelled. He needs to join with another shifter soon or risk going feral.

When Brand spots Wes and Tabitha, he hopes these fellow shifters are strong enough to join with him. But this couple aren't average shifters. Secrets and reclaimed heritage may pull them all together or rip them apart.

Contains snowstorms, steamy arousal, shapeshifters, and a little male/male romance as well.

This book was hot! The sex scenes were graphic making me wish that I could be Tabitha. I like the fact that the interaction between the three is a true threesome, with the male characters reacting to each other; unlike most ménage, there's interaction and a connection between the guys. I also love the fact that the authors don't sugar coat the dominance issues between two Alpha's. If you are looking for a book to warm the cold winter days or nights this is it. It is a wonderful story for when you only have a little while to read.

The book seems to be the start to a rich new world of shifters and various paranormals. I hope that the authors have plans to expand this world; I wouldn't mind re- visiting.

Although the plot starts out seeming to be just an excuse for three people to have a very erotic ménage, the connection between these characters picks up to become a more loving engagement. The sex scenes are extremely graphic, to the point that even as jaded as I am by the amount of erotica I’ve read, I found these scenes titillating.  With everything from oral to enthusiastic m/m, to sex while in shifted form, I definitely felt my blood pumping!  If you were looking for a very erotic short story bound with a romantic twist, Animal Attraction would be an enthusiastic read.

An interesting and highly erotic addition to Ellora’s Cave Valentine’s Vixens, Animal Attraction is pure fire. With a couple on the edge of self implosion a winter night spent in animalistic euphoria is just what was needed to forge a broken bond. This is not what I would suggest if you’re looking for a pure romance. The encounter between Tabitha, Wes and Brand is needed for all three to reach a certain destiny. The side story of Tabitha’s past and the background of the shifter community are like dangling a carrot in front of a rabbit. You know it will chase it down and I felt the same way about the Silvers. I plan on keeping an eye out for additional offerings especially when I’m in the mood for raw passion!

Animal Attraction is a wonderfully written story of three people who are destined to be together and find a way to make things work despite all that works against them. The characters are intense, true to life, easy to read about, and believable. I enjoyed Tabitha's transformation and the exploration of the unexplored portion of her soul. The relationship between husband and wife was written with depth and there was an obvious love and respect between them. The acceptance of a third into this relationship was written with a delicate hand and in no way took away from the depth of the loving husband and wife relationship, but in fact seemed to strengthen and enforce it. Alexa and Patrick Silver have obviously found what ever balance is needed to create intense emotion, creative plot, and explosive sexual chemistry. I highly recommend Animal Attraction to anyone! It is a fun, short but sweet, contemporary, shifter, story that I enjoyed immensely.
